Jason's Shiny New Cow Valve

Greetings: This site has been created by my brother to keep people informed of my status before, during, and after my open heart surgery. To quickly describe the situation, I had surgery (valve replacement and replacement of ascending aorta and the aortic root) on August 26 at the Wisconsin Heart Hospital. I spent only three days at the hospital recovering from the surgery before being discharged on August 29. I will be on a leave of absence from work for at least six weeks.

Just some of the tools

Here's a picture of just some of the tools used to keep Jason alive and kicking immediately after his surgery on Tuesday, August 26, 2008.

The other side of the bed had some as well!
