Morning Update

Scott here with another update.

Jason didn't get much sleep last night. Despite attempts to medicate him into a slumber, the poking and prodding from the medical staff kept him up much of the night.

Jason has been up walking this morning and he's still pretty uncomfortable as you can imagine (try sawing your breastbone in half and see how you feel!). He has done everything asked of him, despite feeling the pain.

I am going to see him this afternoon, and will post another update after that.

Please know that we're passing along your comments on the web page to him (we do have computer access in the hospital) and he really appreciates all the support.

Jason: Just don't go trying to break any records for the fastest recovery time or sprints in the hallway. Take the time you need to heal. Let your friends, family and medical staff wait on you for awhile. Just don't get too comfortable! :) Seriously, we are all thinking of you and continue to wish you well.

Smihers- Sounds like everything is going well. I'm not sure if anyone told you, but the Brewers destroyed the Cardinals last night (12-0). Looks like the playoffs are becoming more of a possibility. Might have to keep an eye out for World Series tickets this year :) Keep doing everything that the staff tells you to and let me know if there is anything that you need.

Hi Jason,

Continued success on your recovery! The hard part (which was actually the easiest part for you because you were under anesthesia!! haha) is over and I know with your determination and smarts, you'll do what you're told and your rehab with be over in no time. Hang in there and God Bless You- Aunt Susie Fleming
